Conversion Rates from PPC
Search Engines

Nobody beats the big G for traffic these days, but
many find Google's conversion rates low in relation to the traffic.
From a sales viewpoint, where do your best conversion rates come from?
Search engines don't convert, they don't do the
"sales." The content on your web site turns visitor into
customer. If you are not converting -- don't kick the dog, don't shoot
the messenger and don't give up... Re-examine your content, your
layout, your flow, your usability, your pricing, your information,
your ease of use and your image.
We have a client who sells big ticket items. She told
us that she would be very happy if we just achieved 5 sales a day. We
were getting great traffic for a very specific niche, but only
averaged about 2-4 sales per day, nonetheless she was pleased. We then
examined how visitors arrived at the site and based on this refined
data, we went in and re-worked our content and our usability... we now
average 12-18 sales a day. We now do this for every client, with
almost always a dramatic increase in sales.
When visitors "find" your web site, they are
ready to convert, they want to convert, they have searched for what
you have, so don't have your site designed as you want, have it
designed as they want.
